I've moved!

Hi everyone!

This space was getting a bit too small for me and I've since moved over to a new site that felt more 'me'.

Please visit my new website at www.tanyajacobs.co.za.

Can't wait to see you there!

Stephan and Jessica | Wedding

In February I had the amazing opportunity of second shooting with the very talented Carla from Kallah Ohr Photography.

I loved everything about this wedding - the couple, Stephan and Jessica truly are a match made in Heaven and thoroughly enjoyed soaking up all the goodness of their special day surrounded by friends and family.

Stephan and Jess met online and later their friendship blossomed into this gorgeous relationship (now marriage) that it is now. She's no stranger to finding gems online and even found her stunning wedding dress on gumtree.

Congratulations Stephan and Jess.  May your future be blessed!

Othandweni | Building Hope

If you've been following my photography, you would've seen one of my first albums (Othandweni | Place of Love') that I uploaded of children from a rural community who desperately needed a new creche.

This morning I got to go out to visit the creche again and all its happy children and see the progress on the building of the school.

Lions Newcastle and Khulisa have undertaken this mammoth task of building a new school  for these children.

The creche is built in a shape that symbolises a mother's arms protecting her children.

Lions International Newcastle President, Barbara Elliot.

Planting new grass.

Two of the lovely teachers.

The children are fed daily at the school by food parcels and sponsorships from the community. Soon they will have their own veggie garden.
